Chasing subscriptions is the biggest time sink on most committees. It is also the job nobody volunteers for twice. Payment software for clubs takes the collecting, the reminding and the reconciling away from the treasurer.

Questions
How do clubs collect membership fees online?
Through a payment provider wired into the club membership system. A member pays and their record updates on its own. The alternative, standing orders reconciled by hand, is where most treasurer time goes.
Do you take a percentage of what our club collects?
No. Card payments are processed by Stripe on your club's own Stripe account, so the money settles with the club and Stripe's processing fee is the only deduction. SportsHQ takes no cut of subscriptions or event income.
What about members who want to pay by bank transfer?
They still can. The record is marked paid manually, which keeps one list of who owes what rather than two.
Is this club treasurer software, or does it replace our accounts package?
It is club treasurer software for the club side of the job: who owes what, what came in, and chasing the people who have not paid. It does not replace an accounts package and does not try to. What it gives you is a clean export at year end instead of a spreadsheet rebuilt from bank statements, so whoever does your accounts starts from real figures.
What happens when the treasurer stands down?
The records stay with the club rather than on one person's laptop. The next treasurer gets the same view of who has paid, what is outstanding and what came in last season, without a handover meeting that depends on somebody remembering how the spreadsheet worked.
