Take subs without constant reminders

Subs collection should be a short checking job for the treasurer. Members can pay by card through Stripe into the club's own account, and transfers can be recorded against the same list. The system sends reminders and keeps event income beside membership. SportsHQ takes no platform transaction fee, while exports support the accounts and any VAT work.

Card and transfer records agree

Stripe payments update the member automatically, while other accepted payments can be marked manually. Outstanding subs remain visible in one place.

Each category has its own fee

Junior, family, student, social and senior memberships can carry different charges. Proportionate joining partway through the year is available.

Events use the same records

Courses, entries and social tickets can be collected beside subs. Volunteers do not need another list to reconcile them.

SportsHQ takes no percentage

No platform transaction fee is deducted. Stripe applies its card processing charge and pays the money into the club's Stripe account.

The treasurer can export the position

Receipts, dates and outstanding amounts leave as organised data. Accounts no longer begin with weeks of matching scattered payment notes.

Payment history belongs to the club

A new treasurer receives the existing records through authorised access. The handover does not rely on a private laptop or memory.

The same job in four sports

This is the bit a general platform cannot do. Same feature, shaped by what the sport actually needs.

RowHQ Membership, squad fees and regatta entries, with junior and student rates that behave differently. Questions

How can an Irish club collect subs online?

Members make card payments through Stripe to the club's own Stripe account. Their record updates as money arrives. The treasurer can also mark transfers manually, so every accepted method contributes to one reliable subs list.

Does SportsHQ take a transaction fee?

SportsHQ takes no percentage from subscriptions or event receipts. Stripe charges its own processing fee on card payments and sends the balance to the club account. Any VAT position remains a matter for the club's wider accounts.

May members continue using transfers?

Yes. An authorised volunteer records the amount against that member and charge. It then appears with card receipts in the same view. The treasurer can see one outstanding total without comparing separate payment lists.

Does this replace the club accounts?

No. It covers the practical member side: subs, activity charges, receipts, reminders and exports. Formal accounts, spending and VAT sit outside it. The export gives whoever prepares those accounts a much cleaner starting record.

What happens when the treasurer changes?

The payment history remains under club control, including dates, amounts and unpaid items. The incoming treasurer receives authorised access and can continue the process immediately. They are not dependent on files stored by the previous officer.
