GlideHQ is coming to Australian gliding clubs
GlideHQ is in build for clubs running flying lists, aircraft inspections, launch crews, training and accounts through the southern summer. It will join the work now split between the launch whiteboard, paper logs and spreadsheets. Australian clubs can register interest before launch, gain early access and help set the order of the build.

What is gliding club management software?
Gliding club management software connects the moving flying list with aircraft condition, daily inspections, duty cover, launch records, training and member accounts. A Gliding Australia club cannot open the day from a standard booking calendar. Qualified people must be present, each aircraft must be signed off, and currency may require a check flight before solo flying. GlideHQ is being developed for that operating model, including separate winch and aerotow records. It is not yet available as a launched product.
Flying days visible away from the launch point
This real build screen runs on a demo club. The phone shows the current flying day open at the airfield, provides a one-tap live map, and keeps one record for every aircraft movement. GlideHQ has not launched. The image shows how the developing product will make the day's activity available beyond the paper log.

What gliding asks for that generic club software does not do
Any club platform will hold your members and take your subs. These are the parts clubs end up running in a spreadsheet alongside it.
Serviceability comes before the flying list
The daily inspection must be recorded before an aircraft flies. Its status should control whether members can see it as available. A glider with a fault cannot remain on the same list as serviceable machines.
The launch order changes with the day
Weather, check flights and launch failures keep moving pilots through the queue. Fixed time slots are the wrong tool. Everybody at the launch point needs to see and update one current order.
A full duty roster opens the airfield
Instructors, winch drivers, tug pilots and duty pilots all carry part of the operation. Missing cover can stop flying. The committee needs gaps highlighted early enough to find a qualified replacement.
Currency must shape the day's flying
Annual checks, time since last flight and conversion to type affect who may fly solo. A required check flight belongs on the plan before launch. Leaving it until the flight line wastes scarce operating time.
Charge from a reliable launch record
Winch, aerotow and soaring time can be billed differently. The flight record needs the member and aircraft attached. That gives the treasurer a usable account base without translating paper sheets each month.
Respect both ways of getting airborne
Winch and aerotow use different people, briefings and charging rules. Clubs offering both should not flatten them into one generic launch. GlideHQ will keep the processes distinct inside the same operation.

Who is behind GlideHQ
There is no published gliding case study yet, and we are not going to invent one. What we can point at is the engine underneath. RowHQ runs Oundle Town Rowing Club day to day, with real members, real money and real race entries going through it.
GlideHQ is a different sport on the same foundation, built by the same people. It is in build, and founding clubs get a direct line to the people writing it.
Questions about gliding club management software
What is gliding club management software in Australia?
It is one system for the flying queue, aircraft inspections, serviceability, duty rosters, flight records, training and member accounts. A Gliding Australia club can replace its launch board, paper logs and monthly worksheets. GlideHQ is being built to recognise moving flight order, currency and two launch methods. It is not live yet.
What will GlideHQ cost in Australia?
GlideHQ remains in development. Published pricing is free with fewer than 21 active members. The first paid band, for 21 to 30 members, costs A$29 monthly excluding GST. The 251 to 300 band is A$239. Every feature is included, with no platform transaction fee. Stripe pays card money into the club's account.
Can it hold Working with Children Check information?
The planned records can keep relevant safeguarding details with each member. Australian states and territories run separate systems, including Working with Children Checks, blue cards, Registration to Work with Vulnerable People and Ochre Cards. The rules vary by location. GlideHQ will make records easier to find, while the club remains responsible for applying its scheme correctly.
Will it fit a southern summer operation?
Yes. Flying days and rosters will be set by the club, so the programme can centre on the roughly October to March summer. The live order responds to conditions on each day. GlideHQ will not impose a northern season or force a moving flight queue into fixed calendar appointments.
Is GlideHQ available now?
No. GlideHQ is in build and does not have a public launch date. The phone image is from the build running a demo club. Registering interest costs nothing and does not commit the club. Interested clubs enter the early access line and can help decide which requirements are built first.
Can a gliding club get funding help with the cost?
Many Australian clubs cover costs like this through the Sporting Club Grants Program, a Local Sport Grant Program or tax deductible giving via the Australian Sports Foundation. The free band under 21 active members costs nothing at all, and annual billing runs at ten months, which keeps any grant application small.
