By the time the committee meets, the October to March programme has already created useful records. Member changes, attendance, resource use and income can be reported without another evening in a spreadsheet. An incorporated society gets a current view, complete exports and dependable participation totals for returns or funding work.

Membership direction is measurable
Joins, renewals and leavers appear as a pattern across time. Officers can separate a genuine change from a busy week.
Turnout reveals the active programme
Attendance and equipment use show where members spend their time. Committee plans can respond to the activities people choose.
Receipts have last season beside them
Compare current income sources with the same point in the prior year. The treasurer can explain movement with consistent figures.
Return totals are already collected
Membership and participation information can be exported for the appropriate governing body. Volunteers do not reconstruct the summer afterwards.
The society keeps portable data
Download full details when a standard screen is not enough. Club information remains available for other legitimate work.
Funding evidence comes from activity
Recorded participation can support applications to Tu Manawa Active Aotearoa or New Zealand Community Trust rather than relying on estimates.

Questions
What should a New Zealand committee track?
Keep membership totals and categories, renewals, attendance, resource use, and income against the previous season available. Together they show how the club is changing and where officers may need a more detailed review.
Can the society take its data out?
Yes. Authorised officers may export the underlying information for further analysis, a return or another system. Routine dashboards do not replace the incorporated society's access to the complete records it has created.
Can these reports support a funding bid?
They provide recorded membership and participation figures that an application may request. The committee still needs to confirm each scheme's rules and eligible costs. Reporting gives the club reliable evidence, not an automatic grant decision.
