Attach the required qualification or check to a duty. Only members who meet it can accept that place on the roster.

Unfilled duties stand out while the club still has options. A missing safety role on the morning may cancel the activity.

Attendance differs from assignment

The record shows who was scheduled and who appeared. Officers can review actual volunteer work rather than the original plan.

What does duty roster software do?

It spreads volunteer jobs across the club season, records the requirements for each role, supports member swaps and sends reminders. The board sees upcoming gaps and actual attendance without maintaining another spreadsheet or chasing every change through group texts.

Can members swap without an officer?

Yes. Members can agree a swap when the replacement meets the duty requirements. The updated roster becomes the current record automatically. Officers only need to deal with exceptions rather than forwarding and approving every routine request.

Will it block an ineligible volunteer?

Yes. The duty can require a qualification, age or relevant check before somebody accepts it. The software enforces the board's rule during assignment, while the club remains responsible for keeping its requirements and member records accurate.
